My Brand-new “Plum” Color

My Brand-new “Plum” Color

So to start out fresh for the New Years, I decided to get my hair done for New Year’s Eve…just before the clock hit “midnight.” And so I made an appointment two days before to book a hair color since my hair needed some major “update.” It really did. I had my hair colored about 3 months ago with my hair stylist who is absolutely amazing….and gorgeous as well. Not only did I want to “tune” in fresh and “new” to ring in for the “New Years,” but wanted a fresh new, sexy look to add to my hair as well. And boy…I will tell you this. It paid off. Big time!

Since I have been seeing my hair stylist for almost 3 years now…my stylist’s, whose name is Phoebe…exactly “knows” what she is doing to my hair. I am extremely picky when it comes to a certain cut, color, or look for my hair. I mean….a girl’s gotta look great? Right? If you are a woman, you would totally understand where I am coming from. As I was driving down to my stylist’s salon, I remembered I left my hair color picture at home. I was bummed. But I knew my stylist had stacks of hair magazines I could get examples from. So that saved me a trip.

I wanted my hair stylist Phoebe to attempt this very sexy, sophisticated, but yet “classy” Kim Kardashian “plum” hair color. I wanted to try something new. And I have never had my own hair colored “plum” ever in my life. So this was going to be something completely “new” to me. I was anxious, but at the same time…very excited as well. As I was waiting in the salon lobby to get my hair done, I decided to flip through a few pages of some hair and fashion magazines to see if they had any “plum” looks. I absolutely found a very stunning, but yet sexy, and sophisticated look of Kim Kardashian’s new “plum” look she did for an advertisement campaign. Boy…did she look “smoking hot” in her brand-new “plum” color. I instantly fell in “love” with it.

As my stylist Phoebe mixed my hair color and started brushing the “plum” color all over my hair, I waited in my seat for about 25 minutes for the color to concentrate and seep right into my hair. The color process takes long because of the high ammonia and chemicals used in hair dye and color. The “plum” color actually smelled very good on my hair. I seriously thought it was going to smell “stinky.” As soon as my color was processed, I was directed to the shampoo bowl to wash, rinse, and condition. My favorite part.

My stylist was extremely pleased and happy with how the color came out. So was I. Not only did she color my hair into a rich, dark “plum” color, but gave me a complimentary “up-do” on my hair as well. She completely styled my hair making my nice soft, hair feeling smooth, sexy, and polished. She even “back-combed” some of my back hair parts to achieve a body volume and lift to my hair. I loved it. I paid for my hair color service and on my way out to see my wonderful man for the New Years. Not only did I pay for a wonderful service, but I was very satisfied with my brand-new “plum” color.
