Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I love the brand-name line of the “Ponds” beauty and body care products. But I especially love the “Ponds” wet cleansing towelettes. I remembered from my early days in junior high, I shopped with my mother at the beauty care aisle of the local neighborhood drugstore where my mother would always get her beauty care products. My mother would always be on the “look-out” for sales on cosmetics and beauty care products. My mother had always been a true “beauty” to me since I was a small girl and I would always want to “aspire” one day to become like her.

Ladies…if you love “L’Oreal” cosmetics like I do….you will absolutely love the brand new L’Oreal- “Visible-Lift” liquid foundation. This amazing, easy-to-apply liquid foundation is profoundly a make-up that will easily even out your skin complexion and….at the same time….moisturizing your beautiful, elegant skin as well. Isn’t that great or what? I have tried many…and many make-up liquid foundations both- stick formula and liquid base bottles in the past, but never seemed to really make me happy with the “after” results.

Featuring their recently new brand name line called, “Pink,” Victoria’s Secret has made a very important significant mark not only in the lingerie department, but in the beauty, body, bath, and cosmetic department as well. The fine pretty, “Pink” brand line from Victoria’s Secret offers many great arrays of lingerie…..with amazing finds on fabulous, beautiful bath and body products as well. I had discovered this wonderful “Pink” line just recently…..and completely fell in “love” with it ever since.

Women and “Confidence”

Boy….do I admire women who excel and “exude” a strong sense of “confidence” about themselves. For a woman to project a sense of who they are as an individual and to radiate in a very positive spotlight about themselves as a “whole” person is extremely…..sexy. Now I am not a guy talking about why I love “confident” women, but actually a woman who is speaking from my own personal experiences.

There is a brand new line of yummy, fruit-scented body care products at Victoria’s Secret. So I have a new favorite hair spray now. I was at my favorite hair salon this late afternoon for a “deep conditioning” hair treatment. It had been awhile since I have last visited my hair salon…so I needed some major hair therapy treatment, pampering, and relaxation. I had booked an appointment a couple days before coming in for my hair service. As I checked into the salon at the front desk, I waited in the guest lobby for my name to be called. I was admiring all the hair care products the salon had in retail stock at the guest lobby area. My name was finally called by a gorgeous, blonde hair stylist. Her name was Adeline.

Nivea’s A Kiss of Shine Lip Gloss

I have a favorite “hip” new lip gloss added to my make-up purse. This amazing lip gloss is called…Nivea’s A Kiss of Shine. I had first found out about this special juicy light, baby pink lip gloss while making a cosmetic errand to the neighborhood drugstore late one evening. I happened to pass by the lotion and body care aisle when I saw an array of very colorful, glossy lip care from the brand line by Nivea.

A couple months ago I remember getting ready before going barhopping that night around parts of Seattle at a good friend’s house. She was doing her makeup while I was fixing my hair. She showed me this amazing hair management product that her mother gave her for Christmas last year. The product was called Loma Pearatin Fortifying Repairative Serum (right)—long name, good product. I put a dime size drop on my fingers and rubbed my hands together, then smoothed it through my dry hair. The result was amazing.

Facial Moisturizers: My Top Three Picks

Fortunately, I don’t suffer from face acne too often. It does pop up in the form of a whitehead or blackhead, from time to time. Sometimes a few pimples appear here and there, but overall I consider myself pretty lucky. I credit my luck party to my face moisturizers. Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours doing research on beauty products. My motto: Know before you buy.

So I’ve done my research and these are my top three picks for facial moisturizers. All share a commonality: they are all oil free. In the past, I have attributed moisturizers containing oils in the ingredients as the source of my breakouts.

SLS Free Shower Gels

I bet you don’t like the idea of showering and lathering your body with something that’s been known to cause skin corrosion as well as a host of other issues. The culprit is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). This is a common additive used in bath and body products. Unfortunately, the FDA regulated it for wide-spread use, because it’s cheap.

The Dangers of Sodium Laureth Sulfate

I was using my favorite obsessively natural Active Athletic shower gel by Kiss My Face while I was in the shower one day, post gym workout. I had never taken a look at the ingredients, trusting the fact that they were naturally derived since I had made the purchase at my local Natural Food Co-op: PCC Natural Markets.

As I was lathering up with the shower gel, I picked up the bottle—curious. One glance and I frowned. The second ingredient used in my supposedly all natural shower gel was “Laurylsulfate de sodium”. This is just a fancy way of saying Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. I had heard of this before: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It was mentioned as a chemical to avoid in a health magazine I frequently read. Unimpressed, I went online after my shower to do some research.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cleanser

Cetaphil is a wonderful moisturizing cleanser. I first started using this facial product nearly 2 years ago. I used to work at a high-end spa and an esthetician working at that time told me this is a great cleanser for my skin type. My sister even uses this beauty care product as well. Cetephil is a creamy white ivory facial cleansing formula that works well on most skin types. This beauty care brand is recommended by dermatologists and skin care estheticians. It is also a very inexpensive product about $6 for a 16 oz. bottle to purchase at your local drugstore. You can also purchase it for cheap in bulk at a local Costco warehouse as well. Add Cetephil to your shower or nearest bathroom sink to use for everyday facial cleansing.
