Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera Gel

This past summer I took a mini vacation to Disneyland for the first time in my life. I never had the opportunity to go when I was a child so having this small vacation for me was a special treat. In the month of June, I decided to book a plane ticket to Anaheim, California for my Disneyland trip. I booked my ticket a few days before in advance and had a good deal on them. I’ve heard of amazing fun things about Disneyland so I was very excited about my time down there. I didn’t expect much of anything, but just to have some quality fun time for myself. Here I come Disneyland!

My flight was in the early afternoon so my friend came to pick me up two hours early before arriving early to the airport. It was raining very hard the day of my flight. I was hoping that flying down to California the weather would be sunny and dry. As I waited by the gate to board, many things were swirling through my head about all the fun rides and food at Disneyland. I felt like a happy kid waiting to head out to a fun-filled adventure. Boarding my flight I had a huge smile on my face and sat down on my assigned seat. As I neared close to the Burbank airport, I got more excited. My friend picked me up at the arrivals gate and I booked a hotel near the Disneyland resort. I was scheduled to go out to Disneyland the following day. I made sure I had a good night’s rest and sleep before my exciting fun-filled magical adventure.

I headed to Disneyland around noon and the weather was amazing. I was not complaining at all since the weather was in the early 90 degree temperature. I wore my comfortable fuzzy black boots and wore light clothing since it was going to be hot all day. The weather was very hot and humid once I walked outside. Since I was staying at a nearby hotel, I decided to walk to the Disneyland resort. As I reached Disneyland, I could hear kids screaming and it was such a colorful amusement theme park. I had my camera picture friendly ready and started taking pictures. As the day passed by, I remembered I forgot to apply sunscreen lotion on my body. Oops. Oh no. I was so excited about the whole day that I totally forgot about sunscreen!

I did not worry way too much because I wanted to have a great time. As my day at Disneyland ended to a close, I arrived back to my hotel room and as I passed by the mirror, my shoulders and arms were pink like a flamingo. I could not believe I got burnt so badly. Oopsy daisy. I decided to go to a store the following day to find a product to relieve and soothe my skin. I went to an organic store downtown and asked the sales associate if they had anything to relieve my sunburn on my skin. She took me to the skincare aisle and handed me Aloe Vera gel. I’ve never had Aloe Vera gel rubbed on my skin before, but since the ingredients had some soothing contents I decided to give it a shot.

Aloe Vera is a species of a succulent, juicy plant originated from the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, Canary Islands and Cape Verde. This type of plant is very popular in curing the body with Aloe Vera added to herbal medicine. The Aloe Vera plant is a great healing agent for the skin when it comes to healing burns, scrapes and wounds. Aloe Vera is taken from inside the leaves of the plant then juiced out completely. Some ingredients of Aloe Vera gel include:

            -Vitamins E

-Sometimes Vitamins A and C are added.

-Preservatives with sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and citric acid.

I applied the Aloe Vera gel on my sunburn 2-3 times a day until my skin soothes down. Rubbing the gel on my skin felt so soothing. The best part about the Aloe Vera gel was the cooling affect it had on my skin. My sunburn felt itchy and irritable, but once I moisturized the gel all over my sunburn, it cooled my skin down. Within two weeks, my sunburn was gone. I could not believe the results were amazing. I recommend this Aloe Vera gel to anyone. Aloe Vera gel can also be used for the hair, dental care, eyes, strains and muscle pains, and internal benefits. You could also grow your own Aloe Vera plant as well.
